Moving air is kinda needed. If ya leave them out they'll start to rot.

Well this is just a copy and paste from the Drying problem thread but....
I keep my furnace fan running 24/7 and have a couple of peices of window screen i can put over the vents. I prefer to use a fan but if i only have a couple to dry it works great.

If you can, at least put a fan on them, in which case, a few days.

they will be fine as long as you put clean sheets on your bed. Airflow will speed things up but they shouldnt rot. Its too dry in your house for them to rot as long as they are spaced out just like they are. If it was a pile of shrooms then some would rot

I put them between two paper towels, and attach the paper towels to the back of a fan. They're almost completely dry within a day.

i recommend finishing the drying with a desiccant. A fan will not usually get them cracker dry.

Before I had a dehydrator I just let mine sit out on paper towels, it took about a week to get them cracker dry, but I never had problems with them rotting.

Hell yeah, drying them is only for storage IMHO... If you have them fresh, eat them bitches fresh!! Mushrooms just have a tendency to rot pretty quick, so usually eating them fresh isn't possible.
I've tripped way better using 30-40g wet in a blender with OJ... YUMMY YUMMY ZOOMMMM!

Sounds DELICIOUS!
Here is the obvious next question. I've read the freezer is a no-no for freshies. About how long might they stay good in the fridge?

I want to try to trip on fresh mushrooms. My first and only time they were cracker dry and I put them in a blender with chocolate-chip cookie dough ice cream for a mushroom shake.
It was quite good.

Mushrooms don't bother me at all when dry but I like pretty strong trips so I usually eat allot and I would much rather eat 6 dry grams than 60 wet grams,The only times I have even eaten fresh mushrooms I am so sick to my stomach that even after I throw up I'm still sick enough feeling for it to ruin my fun for the rest of the day,Just dry them, you have had to be patient this long to get them where they are so another day or two for drying them isn't gonna kill ya and it beats feeling like shit for you entire trip
