Someone has got the fever

I'm a big fan of the 30gal bucket myself.  I'm in the process of trying to phase out all my cut logs, transferring the pups to new 1gal pots both for aesthetics and, well I think a that cut-logs may imply 'consumption' in the eyes of LEOs, plus how the heck do we explain to people why we have soooo many of the same cacti?

Your indoor lighting seems to be working nicely, I've got mine in a root-cellar type thing in hopes they'll go dormant.

For the love of Green ! Thats awesome inspiration mitchnast !!  :sunny:

I'm very new to cacti, maybe you could help me understand what would be the ideal temp and conditions for a setup like that? Cool to see that they aren't so particular or specific between species.

uh, yeah, only that it kicks ass! hopefully it will have pups this year. I'm gonna try to get more of this variety. i know the person who has the mother of it.
putting it in a bigger pot with fert for next summer. full sun. i know it will easily gain 2 feet. hopefully pup too.

seems to grow just as tall and fast as any of its kin. and just dig that waxy blue! you leave fingerprints when you touch it, but in a week or so they fade back into blue.

never had a pic do it justice. its over 2 ft tall now. cant wait to let her loose on the sun
