realized why I was getting Contamination issues...Question

Ok so I did notice that after I pced the jars and then 3 days later poked inoculation holes in them the rush of inward air. So i figured this was my main mistake. OK So IF you poke the holes in the middle part of the jar lid pre pc..the middle part still sucks down onto the jar??? I thought the seal was caused by the vacuum.

You poke holes first, b4 you cook, and cover with micropore tape.. If your doing pf tek that is..

!!

dont poke afterward thats begging for contams!

Also, if you inoculate in a glove box or a sterile bathroom with no air movement the you wont have to worry about contamination going into your jars.
