Hi duuuudeZ


Just wanna ask a quick question 'bout my mycelium in the bag.. Its almost fully colonized, just missing 1-2 cm from the bottom and up, and it has been about 20-24 days underway, so Im kinda getting stressed out, cause' its my first time growing in a bag, and I wanna see those pretty little thangs soon! So... Heres the final question: Is it ok, to take the bag outta the dark and start the fruiting proces now? As far as I know, it shouldnt be a problem, but just wanted pro guideance :wink:

I wouldn't take it out..wait for it to be fully colonized,and if you think its taking long now,try fruiting it in the bag :thumbdown:

Have you shaken up the grains in that bag? You will grow it faster if you mix the grains that are uncolinized with those that are.

Ahh, bummer to hear that.

But from what Ive read in a couple mycobag-guides, it should be kept in the bag at all times. Though, I can see the logic in taking it out of it, and placing it a aquarium or container of some sort, the shrooms will possibly grow bigger and the yield will be bigger.. Hm, gotta think a little about that.

Mag: Yeah, on day 9, I think, the bag got a good shake. And it speeded the process significantly. And now, its almost fully colonized, apart from the 1-2 cm at the bottom. The pictures is a couple of days old, so you cant count on them, so to speak, and the substrate is quite firm, or what you can call it, not loose or anything like that.
