All of you! A bunch of mirages! We've got people throwing around words like "radiant" and "all-encompassing", we've got conversations about the will of the universe, or "hyperspace", or "hyperconsciousness" or whatever other nonsense. Over there, somebody's pretending they're Yoda. And over there, somebody's pretending they're a Yogi. Yodas, Yogis, and Yoginis, all congregating at a site populated otherwise by drugged out losers with too much money, time, and far too little self-esteem.
I'm sick of all the bullshit. I'm sick of all the pretending. None of you are wise, special, enlightened. Neither are any of you wise, special, or enlightened for not claiming to be wise, special or enlightened. None of you are even on par with what's popularly considered well-adjusted! In fact, all of you, every last one right down to the very core, is a fuck-up.
Now, am I talking about S&P, or am I talking about myself?

Clearly, you are caught in a 'complex,' which is indicated by your uncritical use of the term "all." The word 'none,' would likewise indicate a 'complex' which is a constellation of psychic components in you which has assumed a semi-autonomous 'life of its own,' so-to-speak, and has forcefully emerged as a 'projection' onto "all" the members of this forum. Since you obviously do not know any of these people, and since one cannot quantify "wisdom" or "enlightenment," your flame merely indicates something of your own psychological status, nobody else's. As to being "special," we are all special - even identical twins are special in the sense of unique. One cannot expect to date one of the Doublement Gum twins and expect her sister to be exactly the same person. It is your sense of personal identity and its self-esteem that is in question, not "every last one" at The Shroomery's S&P.
You projected this material from a place of psychological disturbance, disequilibrium, and sadly, self-loathing. Are you honest enough to admit to any of this analysis? Yoda was a fictional Star Wars character. Clearly anyone professing to be an alien Jedi warrior is delusional, but if you believe your own pontifications, it is you who are delusional and you need to seek assistance in clarifying these matters.
Anyone who earnestly takes up the practice of Yoga, male or female, is a novice Yogi or Yogini. This is quite different from claiming the attainment of siddhis (paranormal powers), or proclaiming that one is Self-Realized. Even when Self-Realized, all one can legitimately claim is that [s]he is more Realized than [s]he used to be, not more Realized than someone else. We can only legitimately compare our own spiritual progress to earlier conditions we were in, not to someone else's condition or progress.

Markos, your reply was exactly what I was fishing for. There is this tremendous dissonance between the impulsive feelings that I set loose in my post, and the way I actually want to feel. Buddhist boy's thrown off all his decorated garments in disgust, and now he's ready just to be honest. But for so long I've betrayed myself, been dishonest with myself, that even now I doubt my own sincerty in making this new presentation.

then, after losing sight of your destination, wondered why you had been wasting time sight-seeing, and now you were you way out in the middle of a path, maybe lost
but, your own disappointment in yourself, the realization of a loss of hope in what is possible, it's all self-manifested. make it or take it as you will, but... realize you don't need the excess baggage if you don't want it

This thread rocks by the way. It seems to me that nobody gets to get way too far ahead of the pack. We are just evolving monkeys after all. We got a long ways to go IMO before we can live up to enlightenment. For awhile now I have concluded that unconditional acceptance of the way things really are is the ticket to some well deserved chill.

While I realize just sitting back and saying "this is how it is" would make life soooooooo much easier, I don't think I could do it anymore. Ped, it seems that you are going through the Dark Night of the Soul. You've seen beyond what most people experience, and therefore can't go back to that life. But at the same time you sense an unworthiness in yourself, like you're being fake in becoming so spiritual. It happens to lots of mystics. You'll get through it. We all do.
