Ooops... I just bought four 60cc Catheter Tip syringes...

As the title suggests, I just accidentally got catheter tip syringes which have a rather fat tip which I can't do much with regarding attatching needles to it :confused:

I was thinking of spawning to grain, so would this happen to be a problem if I just drill a hole the size of the tip in the jar lid as an inoculation port and keep it sealed with electrical/micropore tape and rub down the tip of the syringe with alcohol before insertion?

Or is there some sort of adapter I could use, or some sort of ghetto adapter that might work :smirk:
the inner diameter of the tip is 4mm

Those suck & without caps, they will contaminate easily.

About the only choice you have is to do BIG lid holes.

Big lid holes & syringe spout on catheter type syringes.

IMHO, will lead to higher than normal contamination rates.

I would get normal syringes, rather that risk that.

If rushed, you can get a flavor injector type syringe at big grocery stores for like $3.

One of those is not exactly optimal, but better than what you have.

I almost picked up a flavor injector the other day for LC but I didn't like the way there is no hole on the tip and the holes are on the side of the needle

Thats odd but the flavor injector I got has a very low gauge needle but I had to sharpen it a bit although it wasn't exactly neccessary
