Any Philosophy Majors?

I'm working towards a career in video game sound and music. But one thing is that I was not classically trained so majoring in music might not be my best bet. Philosophy is looking like it would be great to study. Its a major of the minds truth's and reasoning's which can be applied to daily life and my career after school.
Anyone philosophy majors?

I've never seen a situation where a philosophy major actually applied to a job.
It's always seemed that the only places you'll cut it with a philosophy major are places that just want you to have a degree and don't give a shit what kind of degree it is.

I don't need to go to school for philosophy, I live eat and breathe philosophy everyday. Although I also plan to take it in school
My girl came home with a book called the story of philosophy, I told her I had already read it, then I picked it up and realized it was a different book from the one I had read. The story of philosophy, by Will Durant, is the book I read, and what an amazing book. You SHOULD download it off demonoid in audiobook form, I read it years ago, and then listened to it recently, it was eye opening , and inspiring to say the least
Even more exciting download the audiobook The Greatest Minds and Ideas of all Time, by Will Durant, you can thank me later (its that good )

yeah, It really doesn't give direct training for a career. I still want a degree and right now, I think this might be the funnest major.
I plan on going into the video game industry.. so just having something to go into it with helps. Especially a major that revolves around the very act of thought and human reasonings. And of course I'll be training/reading on my own personal skills as always.

My crazy fucking roomie is a double major. Philosophy/Art History.
I've teased her for years about flipping burgers for money when she gets out of school, but she just got accepted into law school on her first try, so I guess the jokes on me...

If you like philosophy and video games you really should buy a copy of a game called 'Torment'. It is a bit dated as far as graphics go but the voice acting and sounds are top notch.

Oh, I didn't know that game was made by Black Isle studios... they made a number of great games... such as the Fallout series that I still play to this day.
