Just thought I'd remind everyone that it is Guy Fawkes' day. I know this has nothing to do with drugs, but it is psychedelic in the sense that the word psychedelic means "to shed light on the mind."
Anyway, maybe keep it in mind.

Not sure if either of those are celebrated in America. I've never heard of anyone that has that is.

Remember, remember, the 5th of November The Gunpowder Treason and plot ; I know of no reason why the Gunpowder Treason Should ever be forgot.
Guy Fawkes, Guy Fawkes, 'Twas his intent. To blow up the King and the Parliament. Three score barrels of powder below. Poor old England to overthrow. By God's providence he was catch'd, With a dark lantern and burning match
Holloa boys, Holloa boys, let the bells ring Holloa boys, Holloa boys, God save the King!
Hip hip Hoorah ! Hip hip Hoorah !
A penny loaf to feed ol'Pope, A farthing cheese to choke him. A pint of beer to rinse it down, A faggot of sticks to burn him. Burn him in a tub of tar,' Burn him like a blazing star. Burn his body from his head, Then we'll say: ol'Pope is dead.

They're both the same thing, i didn't think you would.
It's all about some guy named guy who failed to blow up our houses of parliament... I'm not sure why we still celebrate it,, i think it's just an excuse for everyone to buy fireworks.. Plus those things are expensive so someone's cashing in on it..
We usually have a big display in York because he was born here. They had one last year but set it in a secret location ( to avoid mass amounts of people in our city centre ). They said everyone would be able to view it no matter where you were,, turned out that no one could fuckin see it..
I think they aborted the idea for this year...
Originally they use to have it at this castle in our city centre,,, they stopped it because of all the crowds..
This pic is the only one i can find on the net and it doesn't do it justice at all..
It's an old motte and bailey so the castle is perched on top of this hill,,, everyone used to crowd around the bottom and look up..
You can imagine what it looks like with shit flying out of the top and sparks cascading down the sides.. Used to be awesome !

No.
Just seems like a silly holiday to me. But then America probably has just as many, if not more, silly holidays as any other country.

I'm sure fireworks are highly taxable. I can't find out how much money they generate here every year, i don't think i want to know...

I saw V for Vendetta. and no, I'm not English, although I do have bad teefz.
Either way, I don't celebrate it, I just realized it was the 5th, and thought I'd remind everyone... more of the state the world is in than Guy Fawkes, or a movie. It seemed appropriate to at least mention it.
