Why in god's name are you running IE?

brothers computer, i dont install programs.
oddly enough, i should mention that post and pm mouseovers are both affected.
also, on this computer and version of IE i have never had mouseovers work at all, so this is an improvement

No disrespect intended to the Firefox fans, but when a feature doesn't work on the site, I don't think the correct response is "switch away from your preferred browser, with the majority of the market share, just so you can use a small random feature on our one site". It's our job to adapt to our users' browsing habits, not the other way around. If 65% of our visitors used Lynx I'd be pushing for an all-text version of the site.
But anyway I made some small changes to the tooltip script and you probably need to clear your cache to get the updated copy. I did test it and it should still be working fine in IE6 and 7.

in firefox:
go to 'Tools' menu
try the 'clear all private data'
if that option is not there
go to 'tools' then 'options' then the 'security' tab.... should be a clear cache option there

Nope it's not the same as cookies. In IE6 go to Tools | Internet Options... | Temporary Internet files [Delete Files...]. In IE7, go to Tools | Internet Options | Browsing history [Delete...] | Temporary Internet Files [Delete files...].

Dang, I still get:
Quote:
Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /var/www/shroomery/forums/includes/tooltip/postcontents.php:1) in /var/www/shroomery/forums/includes/tooltip/postcontents.php on line 2 i see this when i mouse over, running windows xp and IE 6.02xxxxx
Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /var/www/shroomery/forums/includes/tooltip/postcontents.php:1) in /var/www/shroomery/forums/includes/tooltip/postcontents.php on line 2
After I "cleared my cache" it showed the error, but If I scrolled down it would show the real post...
Now it is back to being just the error again..
BTW I use firefox 1.0.7 ..
(It is a bookmarks issue.. BTW (why I still use that old version) I can't update before they make it small again like in 1.0.7..
I can, but I will not.)

Dunno what to tell you man I grabbed Portable Firefox 1.0.7 to test it out and it worked fine.
Maybe try loading up http://www.shroomery.org/forums/includes/tooltip/main.js in your browser, then hold Shift and click Refresh? I'm really not sure what the problem is but it sounds like something on your end.

I'll just disable it.
I still get this no matter what I do.
Thank you for helping though!
I guess it is something else I do wrong.
Edit: I can scroll down and read the post..
It is like this when mouse over on this post:
the existence of god...?
Quote:
Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /var/www/shroomery/forums/includes/tooltip/postcontents.php:1) in /var/www/shroomery/forums/includes/tooltip/postcontents.php on line 2 in a trip report (2nd timeLSD - berserk) we started talking about the existence of god, as i am a convinced atheist...
this may sound like a pure provocation, but i want people to know what it means to be atheist:
the Old Testament is very long history of violence, where a angry god punish his people and slaughters their enemies...
the thing about the apple and the Original Sin simply makes no sense...
there are no absolute historical proves of the existence of Jesus, there were no official gospels in the first christian comunities, the 4 that form the New Testament were chosen in 325 after christ during the council of Nicea, and there are also many other "legends" about some other messiahs or "gurus" living and healing people around year 0...
...I really don't mean to offend anyone! just tell me what do you think about it
