I just checked one of the most promising chip beds and no cyans are up but lots of others are pinning.
First Species: Fund on the way to chip bed. I am pretty sure these are inky caps and since they are young I would like to eat them just want to make sure first.
Location: Portland, Oregon.
Habitat: Grass.
Gills: White, possibly attached although they are tiny and fragile so its hard to tell.
Stem: White to opaque thin and fragile.
Cap: Very light tan. .5 - .7 cm across.
Spore Print: In progress.
Bruising: None noticed.
Young Specimen:
They look so tasty.
Older Specimen:
Second Species:
Location: Same as above.
Habitat: Wood chips of unknown type near rhododenrens.
Gills: Greyish and free.
Stem: Dark not quite black and hollow. Roughly 2cm long.
Cap: Roughly 1 cm across and 1.5 cm tall. Dark slippery conical.
Spore Print: In progress.
Bruising: None noticed.
Species 3:
Location: Same as above.
Habitat: Same as above
Gills: White, after spore print is done I will cut it in half to get more details.
Stem: White stiff but brittle.
Cap: Golden brown / yellow color roughly 2cm - 2.5cm across.
Spore Print: In progress.
Bruising: None noticed but it has not been handled roughly.
More species will be added later. For now I want to eat.

The first ones look to be inky caps, probably in either Coprinellus or Parasola.
The second ones look like Mycenas.
The last one is tougher. Maybe a Hygrophorus.
A tip for the future - photos showing the underside are often more valuable than photos of the tops of the mushrooms. If there are multiple specimens, pick one or two and turn them over in the photo so we can see both sides at once in the same photo.
Happy mushrooming!

While I think you can eat most Coprinus (inky cap) they have a chemical in them called coprine, which means that if you drink even a small amount of alcohol you'll get an enormous hangover. The effects can last up to a week.
Coprine is basically the same as the drug they give to alcoholics to stop them drinking - called "Antabuse". Supposedly you can even get a hangover from using cologne thats high in alcohol and goes through your skin. The chemical blocks the enzyme that converts acetaldehyde into acetic acid, so you end up with a huge amount of acetaldehyde which is the major component in hangovers.
It sounds horrible!

I wouldn't bother with it. That species doesn't look like one of the ones that would be a good edible either way. Usually you have edible Coprinus species before the gills turn dark/mature.
Try to find some C. comatus, quality edible. As for the rest, I probably wouldn't call any of them "choice".
