outdoor flower pot
    #6166142 - 10/13/06 02:55 PM (17 years, 5 months ago)

I have a flower pot on my balcony that I've been using as a compost pot. Recently my buddy brought me some sod from a work site he was surveying that he found psylocibin cubensis growing from. The sod was freshly laid and was growing in a mixture of soil/cow poop.

I saw some mycelium and put the poop/dirt mix on top of my compost pot. Recently, after watering for a week, little pins popped up and one has reached maturity.

Now, these are tiny mushies. I spore printed and noticed intense bluing on the stem that I picked and have properly id'd these as cubes.

My question is, can I get some Black Cow manure from Home Depot and mix it in with the mycelium? How should I go about giving this pot more nutrients? The shrooms are rather small, as is the colonized section in the pot.

Any suggestions to keep this treasure going? Ps I live in Florida.

that poo at home depot is worthless.

Its ammonia-ated soil. Not compost.

You would be better off visiting a stable and collecting aged, dried chips, that look "whitish", as that's a sign of firefang.

Or,

you could order from cry0 at www.mycopath.com

either way, the home depot poo will not provide the microbes you need to raise that flower pot to incubating temps, as your find is apparently in it's fruiting stage, the ambient environment isn't for colonization.

Found aged poo, probably doesnt even need to be pastuerized, and definetly NOT pressure cooked, for an outdoor bed/flower pot, you'll have MUCH better results, as again, the home depot poo has NEVER worked in my experience.

good luck with your project, hope those are cubes you found.
