 Hey everyone and welcome to my very first grow... Im a noob and looking for any help that you advanced growers can give me... Thank you to everyone that checks this out!
inoculation occured on 10/2
Growth started showing on 10/4
And here are pics as of today... 10/8
As you can see one of my jars arrived through USPS cracked... DAMN the postal service! lol 
Oh well... looks to be doin fine so far...
To the pros... Does the mycellium growth look to be good so far? As far as I can see it looks real thick and rhizomorphic.
Any post helps!
5 jars currently incubating at 84 degrees... but now im tired and goin to sleep.. ill be back tomorrow after work to post some new stuff!

Do you guys know anything about the Tropic aire system? If I run this in my FC will I also need some sort of timed air exchanger, or can the Tropic aire double as humidifier and air exchanger???

If you want to be technical, take a tempature/ph reading of the room. Then one of the fc, calibrating your FC before hand is a good start just so you know it's running right before you birth your cakes.
Best advice I can give you is to crumble and case your cakes, just smash them up and put them in a small container (I use to use empty butter dishes) apply your casing layer...straight verm will work, or verm/coir, you dont need to sterilize your casing material but you can.
Anywho, the upside to casing is in the growth paremeter's.
Cakes require (Fairly sure) its 82-84f 92-94RH Acheving a humidity level that the mycellium will like and getting some nice sized mushrooms can be quite a pain in the ass buying the materials and calibrating your fc.
Your sure shot way for maximum yeild with cakes is to crumble and case.
The grow parameter's for a casing are, 72f 80-82RH. 12 on 12 off of light (applys to all cubes)
Once you have initated pinning 10-15 minutes of light a day is sufficant for growth. Cubensis do their maturing in the dark...
Anywho, I hope this has been enlightening, now to wait for a guru to come out do me.
Forgot to answer your question, I keep thinking about boobs....
Buy one of these, 
The product is called "Tempminder" very accurate and afforable. I used a industerial temp/rh monitoring meter (that was a loner) and this one gave the same results....And I'm not sure about the tropic air system, if it's anything like a coolmist, that's the way to go. take it easy.

Yea I planned on ordering one of those temp/rh guages off of ebay... i hope they are accurate.

wouldn't trust anything off ebay to be too acurate... try a cigar shop for a reliable one... otherwise if you do get one of ebay... theres info on here on how to calibrate it... just ask i'm sure someone will give ya the link
