Peyote: skin 'cracking'
    #6145043 - 10/07/06 10:40 PM (17 years, 6 months ago)

since bringing my peyote inside (getting cold out there) it has starting getting these scabby looking 'cracks' on it.

Is it from some sort of pest?

'Growing pains' maybe?

Is it just adjusting to the new environment?

Check it out:

..............

"MAN! You know there aint no such thing as left over crack!"

It looks like it is growing too fast. It is grafted right?

What do you have it grafted to? I've seen this happen to peyos that have been grafted to fast growing stock.

Cut back on water, but up the humidity for a little while.

This should slow the growth and soften the skin, so it can heal and grow to cover the wounds.

Watch for fungal infection and be ready to treat it the moment it shows. Waiting untill after work or school or what ever will be too late.

By the way... Does anybody know how to get sharpie markers off of a computer screen?

if it wasn't grafted i would say over fertilization.
but since it is, i would say the graft is working too well
