 Gymnopilus trip from hell

I went hunting behind my house in VT. i found gyms. lots of big ones that looked a little tattered but i figured they were fine. they looked allright. i brought them back (about 20 large babies) and let them dry for about an hour. which wasnt nearly sufficient. anyway there were lots of bugs in them. but i ate them any way, about 8 whole mushrooms still wet and fresh. well anyway it was an extremely weak trip. i realy had to focus to get feel anything. but it was there. untill about 330 when i got seriosu stomach cramping, bloating, sharp pains that came in waves, and also restlessness, and discomfort. then i started vomiting, heavy painful, and unavoidable vomiting. it felt like it was coming from my intestines it hurt so bad. i did that 3 times, about an hour apart each. i felt like extreme shit the entire next day and still my diaphragm hurts today whuch is 2 days later. i want to know why this happened. all the mushrooms were gems. was it because i didnt dry them? i want to try them again, without the horrible experience. ha.. keep shroomin !

you ate some shrooms with bugs in em... and let them dry for one hour... not sufficient

yep, i ate some gymnopilus spectabilus from vermont. all gems, not dried, and they were filled with bugs, i didnt know if the bugs would make me sick if there were enough of them... i thought someone with some actual mushroom knowelege would help me. i belive its called the shroomery, represent your other habits somewhere else, before i make u trip alone.

Wow, I don't think those were worth it. They sound rotten and like they have bugs in them, that's one indication you shouldn't do them. No doubt you got really sick...

Well I don't know too much about gyms but couldn't you either do what was mentioned above or just boil them and make a tea? I'd think that that would be the best way to deal with them if you suspect they've got bugs in 'em. Personally, unless I'm getting paid to be on Fear Factor or some shit I'm not really trying to eat bugs.

well that definately sounds like a good method of consumption. im sure the old factor is what made me balls ass sick. i think im going to try that mehod tonight. and i dunno its a little scary to threten myself witht hat experience again, but i will try it, it soudns safer. thanks for the precautions and insights. getting sick is not too cool.
also- i found some panaeolus cyanescen looking muhasrooms in a hay/manure pile.
but in vermont. super black gills. and the whole mushrooms was almost pure white. i ate quite a few and experience a very light trip. they arent subbs but they are hallucigenic. i dont know what they are. if u need a better description i will give it. thanks again

There are a lot of mushrooms out there that not only won't make you trip but will KILL you. Don't be stupid, if you want to trip make the effort and find someone who sells shrooms, or grow your own. Don't just eat a mushroom you find, that's an easy way to get yourself killed.
