need help fast pressure cooker temp

my pressure cooker is old school and it has a temp but no psi what temp should i put it at

I would sujest to buy a new one, but if you don't place it on stove and turn the heat up to as high as it goes. You want it to be extremely hot....

I would buy a new one though that one might pop its cork and you'll have a hell of a mess

its electric and it goes up too 450 degrees i dont got enough money right now to buy a new one

Turn it on full at the beginning until the steam vents seal then turn it way down until it just rocks the pressure guage very gently. That is the best I can do. Make sure the vents aren't clogged with food. Try it with just plain water a couple of times until you get used to it. Stand back and don't open it until the pressure has been released. If the seals are rubber, they could blow if they are very old but they can be replaced. As I said, stand back until you've tried it a few times.
