Placing cakes outside to grow...
    #6033293 - 09/05/06 09:37 PM (17 years, 6 months ago)

Ive had a thought... If you grabbed an already colonised cake.. applied a cake of vermiculite + brown rice flower. Then you placed it in your garden, would it grow well over the mushroom season?

I know what your all thinking... "Contamination, contamination, contamination.."

Surely wouldnt the white growth fight bacteria etc?

Is this possible?

why would we think a colonized cake outside would contaminate?

we wouldn't.

go ahead, put all partial successes out in the garden.

keep it in the shade, keep it moist.

of course they'll grow outside,

where do you think they came from ?
