Alaska Finds
    #6023131 - 09/02/06 07:47 PM (17 years, 7 months ago)

Here's what I found while I was out on a walk today, if you happen tp know what any of them are feel free to ID them.
Category 1: Forest

^This appeared to be some pins popping up out of leaves, no mycelium in sight...odd

Category 2: Roadside shrooms

^This thing was massive!

^Another photo of what I suspect to be some sort of Panaeolus.
Category 3: Backyard finds

Sorry I can't positively identify any of the mushrooms you posted but I was wondering what part of Alaska you are from. I am from Southeast Alaska myself. Also, what kind of edibles do you find in your general region? Alaska is a large area and I am sure the different habitats lend themselves to different types of mushrooms.

I'm from the Southcentral area. I'm not a very experienced hunter, but I've found various edible Amanitas, Coprinus, and Panaeolus.
