Diatomaceous earth... HELP!

I had put down some amounts of Diatomaceous earth last week. I kept my head up and kept it away from my body as much as possible and if i thought the wind could blow it at all towards me i would hold my breathe (knowing it was used as a poison) i did not want to inhale it. I dont know if i breathed any in at all or if it even floated that high or towards me but i didnt use a dust mask (i now know i should have). I looked at the contents and it is 85% Silicon Dioxide from Diatomaceous earth, and 10% other silicon (didnt list what). Is there anything i can do at this point or am i just screwed? Any input would be welcome as i am freaking out a little bit right now. Thank you.

I would like to add that i never saw it close to my face but i dont remember every detail. My lungs have felt strange but thats not to rare because i have asthma and allergies both of which have been bad this summer. I didnt know where else to post and i was maybe exposed to it because of an outdoor thing to do with mushrooms so i posted here (im sorry if its a bother). Again... is there anything i can do? From what i can gather its a wait and see type of things in which if something is bad i have no choice but to live with the outcome.

First...understand that DE is NOT POISON. It's used as a deterrent, not a poison. It's actually the dead skeleton of microscopic creatures (diatoms), and is in no way poisonous. However, it IS a major carcinogen, as are all fine-particulate (powder) forms of silica. Repeated, long term exposure results in a condition known as "silica lung", and can cause cancer.
You are not in any immediate danger from poisoning.

I use it in all of my substrates.
I use it in all of my casings.
I usually do wear a mask, however...
chill out, you are more than fine.
why don't research what you are doing to yourself via your shampoo if you want to be worried.

DE isn't going to hurt you. DE is also great to add to casing material and compost mixes because it holds a huge amount of water. Just add a few tablespoons when you make up casing mix and watch your mushrooms get bigger than before. RR

no.
read up on it.
it's not for ph adjustment/buffering.
it's for water retention and pest control and airation...
