Here you're a few of pcis of my Pholiota nameko cultures. They seems very poor but i wanted to upload them however..i suppose you appreciate :smile:

(this is the "mother" petri from where all the petris was generated, note it was inoculed from an agar wedge on 19th of July from a previous PotatoHoneyAgar media, sterilized for 20 minutes, Owl recipe)

Looking good. All inoculated agar wedges seem to have taken off.

It is not clear from the pictures but it seems that your layer of agar is very thin. Should not be a big problem if it is. It just makes them more susceptible to drying.

The agar level is around 2 mm. The mycelium is very thin! Perhaps it was stressed.

Today i've added little pieces of chopped toothpicks ( boiled until sink then sterilized in PC (=pressure cooker) for an our (tip by RoggerRabbit,Owl and Anno).

With very pleasure i can say that all this petris was inoculed during the summer season and at the first floor of my house without a glove box, neither a mask or gloves. Over here is full of gardens and the windows was opened. I can't believe this is just luck with all the spores / endospores that are in the air in this season!

..and the petris with the text "forno" was opened in oven at 160°C (after pressure cooked for 20minutes) to permit to the vacuum to evaporate until they were dry. but i have to say that these last petris with the oven tip seem less vigorous. Perhaps dextrose in the honey became caramel.

How is it possible?
