Flaming: For petes sakes, guys

This isn't kindergarten class. Grow a backbone.
I realize there is a mandatory NO FLAMING rule in the pub, but I'm really sick and tired of getting mod notifications for "flaming in teh pube" and it's completely rediculous statements that as grown adults, over the age of 18, you should be letting go. Really.
Just because someone disagrees with you, that does not constitute as a flame. Just because you are involved in a discussion that might possibly get heated, that does not constitute as a flame.
If someone calls you a chodemunching gutter slut to get a reaction out of you....that is flame, hit the button.
Moderators can't be everywhere all the time, and we truly appreciate your assitance in pointing out stuff that we could have missed, but there are certainly times when I feel like a babysitter handling flames that aren't even flames.
You're all grown ups. Choose your words wisely, you can call someone out intelligently, I've seen it before. You can disagree or argue without childish namecalling. When you hit the notification button because someone called you a retard, you're tattletaleing.
I can't hit the mod notification. I have to deal with people shooting me down all the time and deal with it I do. Everyone has the same capabilities that I do, I'm not special, I have no special training in social skills. There are all kinds of options for you:
- take the high road, let it go. Be the bigger person - take it to PM, hash it out, possibly make a new friend - take it to OTD, hash it out, post scat - last but not least, hit the mod notification.
Please reply, discuss, thank you for reading.
KellieBom.

Well, since you truly appreciate assistance in having stuff pointed out that you might have missed, you misspelled "assistance".
Just giving you what you appreciate.
Peace.

Exactly. If you really are offended by what some anonymous poster says to you on a message forum, you've got your priorities mixed up and need a kick in the ass in the right direction.

Personally, I think you can make a much stronger statement by being rational, intelligent and well thought out.
But that's just me.

Yeah, go tell that to the fucking whackjobs that appear in P&S every once and awhile.
Oh my god, he used an emoticon, like, he's a dick!
I'm not sure if or is more of a flame, but it certainly gets them riled up...
Peace.

I wouldn't go that far. There are alot of immature people here that have no idea how to care for themselves. I know what you're saying, though. Good post. There be a bunch of yellow bellied pigs, in here! Arrgh!

That's not my place to say. We know who they are, when we run across them. You are an intelligent person, so you know it when you see it.
