Really Dark PF Jars...?

Last week i made some jar using the PF tek and made sure that i followed the recipe exactly and even double checked it... my jars came out really dark compared to some ones that i already had prepared.. i injected them and only about 2 out of 12 have began colonizing and the ones i already had prepared are going great so it's not the spores.. im going to throw them out and make some new ones but does anyone have any clue why they came out so dark??

It could easily be that water somehow got into the jars while you were sterilizing them. Perhaps the water levle in the pot you boiled them in was to high and somehow water got under the aluminium foile... I've had this happen... the jars come out of the pot really dark and a bis heavier... it happens when you put to much water in the pot... they're no good to use, you'll have to start fresh.
