I've been watching this guy since his days in Marquette and was always impressed with him, but I am amazed by how he has turned up his game another notch for the playoffs. He has not only been able to take over games single-handedly, but has made his teammates better consistently throughout the series. While Lebron may have an edge in raw talent and physical ability, I don't believe there is a better player in this league when you look at all aspects of his game.

You have to consider though, that he has 3 years on LJ.
You cant really compare, I dont think?
Lebron James in 3 years may blow our minds too...

Wade is the man right now, but I'd still think LeBron is the best player in the NBA. Look at the way he took a not so talented team (Cavs) and came damn close to beating what many people considered to be the NBA's top team, the Pistons. Although I guess you could say the same about Wade carrying his team, as he didn't get a whole lot of help from Shaq.

miami's an all-around more solid squad than cleveland, IMO

The next few years should be very interesting with LeBron and Wade. Both of them are good friends off the court, but there will probably be some historical show downs between the two in future postseasons.
I think LeBron ultimately has the edge though. Wade seems to be a well-defined prototype of MJ's style, while LeBron is redifining the game with his own. LBJ has also been one of the fastest maturers in talent in recent times. Heck, the only reason the Cavs aren't going all the way is because of poor back up for the megastar. Aside from an aging Zydrunas and an inconsistent Larry Hughes, LeBron has nobody to help him out but I imagine the Cavs are currently focused on securing him after his rookie contract expires, and then the focus on getting him backup will follow.
