i believe mycosupply's poo is dehydrated manure pellets. Tenn stud's poo is ready to go right out of the bag.

I dont mean to bash any sponsors, but the dehydrated manure mycosuppy has is pretty useless for the kind of work we do. Its a pasty substance as opposed to the soil like consistency of poo we are looking for. I have bought it several times with absolutely no luck, even if there was straw mixed in. Mycosupply has alot of awesome stuff, but I would go to tennstudd for the poo.

Manure from both vendors work fine
If you can't use dehydrated manure you should ask
Myco Supply is located in Pennsylvania. The state of PA produces 46% of all of the mushrooms consumed in the USA. We are in the heart of mushroom country.
We have literally sold TONS of dehydated manure. Granted, its usually sold to legal, edible grows. My point is dehydated manure works fine. To make a statement such as the one above simply tells me that you haven't used the product correctly.
Dehydated manure from both vendors works great! Buy from either one and enjoy

Ok, then *asking* What's the recomended procedure for this product? Come on, I can grow shrooms on dirty socks and nuclear fallout debris, but a lot of people need straightforward answers.
And BTW, I'm well stocked on allen wrenches, would myco supply throw in a torx wrench?

Hahaha, wrenches are extra
I saw the thread with the allen key found in the poo. Its funny but I wouldn't blame Tennstud. Its amazing what cows eat!!!
As for our dehydrated manure, its best used when its steeped (remove more of the amonia). Often this doesn't need to be done if its mixed with another medium like straw or wood chips. Water content is important too. You can't really use "too much" water to rehydrate it, but many folks add the water to the poo then add both with another medium. This (usually) adds too much moisture content to a generally ordinary substrate level.
Along with proper pasturization techniques (our dehydated manure isn't prepasturized) and clean handing it works fine.

You say right on your sight: "Simply mix the dehydrated manure with water until you reach a paste-like consistency"
I believe Jon said it was pastier then horse manure and manure and prime substrate, IMO would not be a paste like consistency..but I have never tried this particular product. I buy more then 20 pounds at a time then its cheaper then the dehydrated from myco supply anyway..
