Here are my seed pods forming. The bottom ones are starting to yellow. I imagine is when I can pic and dry them. I broke one open, and the seeds were full and black.. awesome! I'm going to have a ton of seeds
Here's a close up of the plant... The bottom leaves are already tarting to yellow.

I've got 7 or so in vegetative stage. I keep having to pic the buds off. They stayed smaller, but leaves are nice and thick.
And here are some flower photos

They are relatively old. I started indoors sometime in January or so( I forget) Then, over the course of several transplants that slowed them down, and to the final plating in the ground, growing out to full seed pods as pictured, took about 6 months( that seems like a long ass time ago) I need to check some post logs to give an exact date, but that is pretty close to right on. I'd imagine without all the transplants and struggles I put them through, they could grow that big and self seed within 4 months, but I drug it out extremely long

I had so much chamomile in my room last night I had to move it out, because the aroma was so overwhelming. However it smells lovely
I prepared the land by bringing in bags of soil. Some organic soil, some peat soil, several types. I made raised beds, in rows about 18 inches wide.
I never like to till, because then all my volunteers that come up every year get lost. I score hundreds of free plants every spring, thus the only way to keep the soil going good and still keep your volunteers is to bring in good soil instead of tilling up the old.

Does your nicotiana smell like tobaco? Mine doesn't smell at all. It's almost 1 m in height.

It certainly is some very potent smoke, the potency also depends on the length of the drying and curing process. The more green the leaf is, the harsher but more active it will be. I have been able to get my leaves to go slightly brown and they made for an amazing taste and potency.

I've heard that this plant sometimes is a bienniel or perrineal, have you had any luck keeping them over the winter? Greenhouse maybe?
