My Ipod was put through the wash, and thanks to Apple's retarted fucking music policies they weren't transferred on my computer completely, so MY music, the music that I bought and transferred on my old laptop is missing from my new desktop. FUCK APPLE!!!!!

How about taking some personal responsibility. You lost 1000 sngs because you didn't take care of them. You were the one responsible for your iPod, not apple. Apple didn't put your iPod in the wash. Apple didn't make you change computers.
I guess you learned a valuable lesson in checking your pockets before washing your clothes.

That sucks man, I haven't really heard anything good about the iPod, and this just adds to the "it sucks" list.
Was it under warranty? And how does iTunes work, I mean can you get the songs again or would you have to pay again?

But apple DID make it impossible to transfer songs from a mac to a windows computer without the use of ripping programs.

Bogus.
1. I'm pretty sure it was possible to transfer them to another computer, but that doesn't change things now. 2. Have you tried contacting apple? They should have record of your purchases and I don't see why they wouldn't let you download them again. 3. Steal your music. C'mon, everybody's doing it.

Do you have an Ipod? Have you tried moving from a mac to windows? It's hell, and as part of Apple's anti-piracy policy, you CAN'T transfer computers without using some kind of ripping software. Yes, it's that gay.

It's actually pretty damn simple, my gf has an iPod. You just sync it up with iTunes on the PC.
And don't blame Mac for your stupidity. Next time take better care of your shit.

I'm not quite sure how they rationalized that people will pay for a product with major limitations, when they can just as easily (minus the cost) "steal" the same thing without "protection" built in...?
People have noticed that this does not make any sense!
Also, I believe the downloading part is LEGAL in Canada, you just can't make content available if you do not have the rights to it.

macs use a different file-system than windows, so that's kinda impossible.

Did you notice that you got those songs at a substantial discount over purchasing the CD's in stores? Of course they came with limitations. It is all clear and up front. You are an idiot for not reading it upfront.

I have an ipod and they're great. I get music via bit-torrent then burn them on DVD before loading the music onto the ipod. I have not lost one song, and I have never visited the itunes music store.
I'm a satisfied ipod owner!

Yes. We're all just little Robin Hoods...
Like I said in another thread, my views on the subject are:
Quote:
I steal music because of all the money I wasted through the years buying the same cassette tape or CD over and over again when it broke. When music became downloadable I was already plenty pissed off at the music industry.
At least 55% of my music I've owned before on cassette or CD at some point in the past.
Other than that, I'm just a looter in New Orleans it seems, but maybe it's just my turn to do the fuckin' shit over. Plus the money I lost before was in 1980's and early 1990's dollars, so actually they owe me some interest.
Karma for the music industry, lol

He just wants the music he paid for that just died with it.
When a home cd player breaks are you allowed to pry open the door and get the CDs out, or are you supposed to leave them in the player and throw them out with the stereo?
