Has anyone come across Any cases of mushrooms that have grown outside of where they normally grow, and can climate changes affect the diff types that grow? Ive been hunting,in vermont cow shit and found some that have all the similarities as pan. cyan's. ill post pics when i go back out, but any info would be awesome.

The published ranges for mushrooms are certainly not exact, but copes in vermont? Maybe in another 20 years when the ice caps have finished melting. I bet you have an inactive pan. like Panoleus semiovatus which can look like pan cyan but does not bruise blue.

'Sup Vermont shroomerite buddy? I'm in almost the same situation you're in, and right now am taking the sporeprint of some shrooms I found outside that bear more than a passing resemblance to the ones I grow myself. I also lightly scraped some with a knife, so I'll see in a bit whether I have an active or not.
*fingers crossed*

Copenlandia Cyanescens(thats right, no copy and paste or spell check.) will bruise obvious blue upun any human contact. Many specimans That have been found were already blue from wind/rain. Dont mean to shoot down your asperations of finding trippin mushrooms.
But you are very correct by saying "horray for fungus". I start to imagine a world without it and quikly slap myself for thinking so foolishly.
Post.Script. I am almost second guessing myself for not spell checking but I am only down to 99.99998 percent sure now.

hmm i need a closer picture.. the caps are an of white, greyish color. with a small button, of a darker greyish off white. young ones are in a ball, but once the start to get taller and bigger, they become much more conish. the gills are toally grey, not light or dark, just grey, black spored. . stems are light greyish when first picked, turned purple after damaged. hmm what else. stems dont change until very base. very straight and long and skinny. we found them in tall grass, growing in a field off of old cow dung. wtf are these? sorry the pic is weak.but the bottom right and top right is what im explaining. anyhelp please!~

P. semilactica don't grow this time of year, and even though they have been found in Maine and Nova Scotia, it's not common. Although if you really are seeing some bruising, that would be interesting. Half the time though, people are imagining bruising that's not there. Not saying that you are doing this, but playing the probabilities I really doubt you have liberty caps there. Plus those pics are too small to see any bruising. Take some close ups. Also, do a spore print on a piece of paper, don't make assumptions about spore color based on gill color.

You need to read theSticky . No help can be given without a proper description and some clear detailed pictures. The others are completely right concerning the likeliness of what you're proposing, nothing can be said otherwise without clear evidence. As for Pan Cyans, there would be no doubt as to their blueing. It is a defining characteristic (cyan...)which would take little to no prompting or coaxing on you part, looking at them the wrong way might do it. I think, if find "active" mushrooms is you goal your time might be better spent away from the dung, in the woods, lawns, hay, etc... Just a thought.

as X suggested....does your camera have the ability to take a CLEAR close up picture of caps and bruising reactions.....those are waaaayyyy to far away for ANY possibilty of ID
set shrooms down and click 10 shots of each pic not moving the camera whatsoever and keep the clear ones....delete the rest
