perferated plasic and straw

It it neccesary? If the casings are in a greenhouse can they just be open? Whats the purpose of the perferated plastic such as in shroom gods straw tek? Does it have to be clear or can it be black? And when the casings are fruiting does it need un-perferated plastic over it? In what times does it need plastic over it? Thanks all.

Im not sure what your talking about. If your reffering to spawning to poo+straw, you cover it with tinfoil after you've place your mixed up spawn in a alunimum tray or some sort of try, poke holes in the tinfoil and wait 4-5 days for it to colonize.

When your fruiting the sides of your FC need to be covered so no light can enter and induce side pinning, if your useing a monotub....to get a picture perfect casing the only light hitting the casing should be from the top so the mushrooms grow straight up. Light is purley a directional tool.

I know how to do It I want to know why its needed or if you HAVE to do it. What if their in a greenhouse?

You could fruit it in a greenhouse once the poo+straw is colonized, sure.
