A.J. Nicholson, FSU LB, barely got drafted because of his conduct now he's gone and stolen $1700 worth of electronics from an FSU player, helping a former #1 recruit in the nation, Fred Rouse
stupid twats
let's make a list of inctredible talents shot down by criminality and like stupidity
my contribution: Lawrernce Phillips

Not in a criminal mind, but I'd like to mention Jayson Williams.
The Bulls gave him a fat contract, were set to make him a superstar. What does he do? Decides to take a 3:00 am ride on his crotch rocket and hit a light pole. Fucked for life.
Thanks J-Will.

on that note, there's kellen winslow who's caught less than 15 passes in his career
but let's keep this strictly to criminal behavior, for now

I think you're wrong. He was drafted by the Suns, quickly traded to Philadelphia, then played most of his career for the Nets before retiring because of game-related injuries.
He did have a run-in with the law though. A couple years ago he went on trial for manslaughter when someone shot his limo driver to death and he tried to cover it up. The jury eventually deadlocked to CourtTV's dismay.

You guys are thinking someone totally different.
Jayson Williams was drafted by the Bulls out of Duke. I think he might have won a nat'l championship there with Coach K.

Jason (Jay) Williams (born September 10, 1981 in Plainfield, New Jersey) is a basketball player, formerly of the NBA's Chicago Bulls. Even though his first name is actually 'Jason', he asked to be known as 'Jay' upon joining the NBA. Williams did this in order to avoid confusion with Jason Williams, then of the Memphis Grizzlies, and Jayson Williams, formerly of the New Jersey Nets. Williams claimed 'Jay' was what he was called by those close to him.
The 6'2" (188 cm) point guard grew up in New Jersey, and attended high school at St. Joseph's in Metuchen, graduating in 1999. There, he not only excelled at basketball, but took up an active interest in other activities, notably chess. He also played junior varsity soccer during his freshman year and varsity volleyball during his senior year. In college, he was a star at Duke University where he graduated in three years. After his junior season, he became the most sought-after American player in the 2002 NBA Draft. He was voted as the best player in college basketball and received the Naismith Award. Subsequently, he was selected by the Chicago Bulls with the second overall pick, after Chinese player Yao Ming was taken first by the Houston Rockets.
Williams was a starter in the Bulls' line-up for most of the 2002-2003 NBA season. Although his performance was inconsistent and he competed for playing time with Jamal Crawford, he showed signs of promise including posting a triple-double in a win over the New Jersey Nets.
His life almost ended prematurely on June 19, 2003, when he crashed his motorcycle at the intersection of Fletcher and Honore in Chicago, Illinois. Williams suffered serious injuries to his pelvis and left knee and required physical therapy to regain the use of his leg. Many months later, after it was clear he would not be returning to the Bulls for some time (if at all), they waived him. As of 2006, it is not clear whether he will be able to return to professional basketball, although he continues to train toward that goal. In the meantime, he has appeared in college and high school basketball broadcasts on ESPN as a color commentator.
