snap pea straw...peanut shells?
    #5666058 - 05/23/06 07:15 PM (17 years, 10 months ago)

i was wandering around my garden and then went to the organic food store baked out of my mind and was wondering if the straw from snap peas would make a good substrate when dried, shredded, and pasteurized. and i wondered if you could use peanut shells as well.

when i start my grow i will have to set a jar or two aside for experimenting.

You can grow mushrooms on just about anything, trust me. Garden wastes are excellent. Just dry them in the sun completely, then shred and pasteurize.
