Mountain Dew is trying to kill us!

Attention all Mountain Dew drinkers
They are trying to kill us and our children, with the new product Mountain Dew MDX .. Ginseng, Taurine, Guarana, D-Ribes, Caffeine, and Maltodextrine.
These are all of the chemicals in red bull, plus the dangerously high amounts of caffiene in mountain dew, plus a new experimental stimulant called Maltodextrine.
Such chemicals are habit-forming, possibly physically addictive, they can increase your heart rate, and be very dangerous if one drinks to much. It is sold as a regular soda with no warning. Athletes rave about how drinking a half a bottle gets them amped up before a game, and children rave about how it works as a powerful psychoactive stimulant in many more ways than one.
Warning to Psychonauts I drank one when tripping on 100 mics of white fluff last night and nearly had a heart attack.
Be careful with Mountain Dew MDX, it is trying to transform us and our children into energy-soda fiends that will one day be found in a dark alley rummaging through the dumpster for bottles of Mountain Dew MDX with just that one last sip in there to give us that boost we need. They really should make the age 18 or older on beverages like this so that some young one does not seriously damage them self. Or will someone please just drink ten bottles of this stuff already and die so we can get this terrible (yet yummy) stuff taken off the market.
-------------------- My statistical assumption is that chemical tapering should begin when the rate of visiting ODD exceeds the rate of visiting Pub, or any other Shroomery forum.

You should contact the FDA.
Inform that mountain dew should be banned because it may have an adverse interaction with LSD.
Post the FDA's response afterwards.

Are you joking or should I really contact a federal orginzation with the information that I use LSD?

Dude. You just created a bunch of hype over nothing.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maltodextrin
That's a sweetner. Have a box of cereal? Any cereal? Look at it. I can almost promise you'll see maltodextrin on there, especially if it's a kids cereal.
The rest of the shit in MDX is nothing new. It's in every other energy drink, and in higher doses in a lot of them.
You're probably hyper sensitive to one of the ingredients, or maybe you just flipped out because you were tripping. I've had 2x the amount of "stuff" that MDX delievers WHILE on my normal amount of 20mg of Adderal(LSD isn't even a stimulant!). Never had a heart attack or high blood pressure. Quit freaking out about nothing.

Well it is obvious that the frequent use of psychadelics has transformed me into a compulsively paranoid skitzo.

Well, I do think that there is currently a huge trend around energy drinks and it's getting a bit out of hand.
I like them as much as the next guy, but some people drink these things back like water.

I'd imagine that it might have made you trip harder(hence freaking out). All the stimulants found in energy drinks stimulate dopamine receptors. Dopamine and serotonin receptors are the key areas of the brain that are activated during any kind of psychdellic use, with the exception of Salvia.

That's when energy drinks can get dangerous. It is very possibly to OD on caffeine. Most energy drinks have anywhere from 100-400mg of caffeine. The LD50 for caffeine is between 1000mg-4000mg. If you happen to be one of the people in the 1000mg range, then drinking 4 or 5 Monsters could easily put you in the hospital or kill you. Thats why most say not to drink more than 2 or 3 a day.

Monster is probably my fave thoughts, its the only one that I find actually perks me up.
Or, real/legit red bull that you can find in china-town here in Toronto, not that carbonated stuff you get at most other corner stores.
Most other drinks just make me feel jittery/aggervated.

Where did you get your dosage info from? erowid lists the LD50 in rats as 192 mg/kg. Another site claims 192 mg/kg as the lowest lethal dose reported in humans. Remember the dose is PER KG so your estimations are way off.
