will to much desiccant dry the shrooms to fast. leaving them smaller then if you dried them slowly. also does anyone know any tips on how to get your fruits bigger and bulkier. my cake size is around 1/2 pint. fruits ended up really thin, and the caps are around the size of a dime.

Substrate and amount used determine 'shroom size, not drying methods. Cakes typically throw out the tiny mushrooms, you have to move up to grains spawned to manure to get the big guns.

i know some of these people get some real nice sizes and amounts from average size cakes but this cake has been fruiting for weeks one ta two fruits mature at a time and i think i maybe have an 1/8. kinda disapointing. so the cake size determines shroom size. any opinions on best substrate to use.

Look up horse manure, lots of teks here in the archives and so on.  Once you get grains spawned to manure down well, the days of small harvests will be long gone, it's well worth the extra effort.
