I think Kobe probably IS the best player in the NBA...Look at his supporting cast...
Kwame Brown, Luke Walton, Lamar Odom, Smush Parker.
Does that sound like a playoff team? Fuck...Does that sound like a D-League team?
But with Kobe, they're in the playoffs....Put him on any DECENT team, and they're the champs....

LeBron James, or Zydrunas Ilgauskas.

Rasheed Wallace!
Edit: Seriously, Kobe is definately the best single player in the game today, Rasheed is just my personal favorite.

Its definately a close race...
D-Wade, Kobe, Lebron, or Duncan.
I'd probably vote Kobe, even though I hate him. Duncan, when healthy though, is more or less unstoppable...

Poor Kobe indeed. If I were him I would try looking for a new team with better back-up.

Nobody talks about Iverson anymore, but he's the best he's ever been. More points and more assists per game than James with less help around him. Similar performance this year to Kobe, slightly lower percentages but more assists.
I think it's Nash, Lebron, and Bryant, but I feel Iverson is getting shortchanged, and that he belongs in that group, and shouldn't be rated any lower than 4th.

he doesnt have more points or assists per game that lebron.. lebron is the leagues 3rd scorer behind kobe and wade.. so im callin bullshit on that and im just going to call bullshit on the asists column just cause of instinct
no doubt AI is a great player.. but hes old news and a ball hog.. he doesnt make the players around him better, he simply carries them on his back.. whereas wade, nash, lebron, and kobe make the others around him soo much better

I would say Lebron and Iverson are both in the same league. I think they both try to do too much themselves since they have no supporting cast.

What planet are you on?
Scoring leaders found here....http://www.nba.com/statistics/player/Scoring.jsp
1. Kobe 35.1 2. Iverson 33.0 3. Lebron 31.6 4. Arenas 29.1 5. Wade 27.5
Assists....http://www.nba.com/statistics/player/Scoring.jsp
Iverson is 8th, Wade is 10th, and Lebron is 12th....
Iverson 7.5 Wade 6.8 Lebron 6.6 Kobe 4.6
Steals??
Iverson, 6th in the league at 1.96 Wade, 7th in the league at 1.92 Bryant, 11th in the league at 1.77 James, 16th at 1.56
Assists/Turnover?
Iverson 2.19 James 2.02 Wade 1.92 Bryant 1.43
Among the guard stats, Iverson is tops. He's the smallest so he gets less rebounds per game. His shooting percentages are about the same as Kobe's, Lebron is the best from the field but the worst at the line.
You obviously have no idea what you're talking about. The scoring race has been Kobe, Iverson 1/2 all year. In order to use your instincts you should first at least have some basketball knowledge.

Him or Billups. I effin' love the pistons, but he's my favorite on the team.
I have this thing for Manu Ginobili though. Shit he's awesome. I've got posters of him on my wall.
