Damn rattle snakes...

This is the last time I am going to this field. I have been frequenting this field for a few weeks and not finding a thing. I brought home a few patties and put two of then in a very humid environment and am getting hundreds of mushrooms, but I dont think they are active. They look like some kind of panoleus but they dont blue.

So I go back to the field today. I am just criusing down the path when I hear what sounds like a damn water main had sprung a leak.
Sure enough, right in front of me was the biggest damn western diamond back rattlesnake that I had seen in a VERY long time. I mean this dude was 4 feet long and THICK. He was ready for me too. All coiled up and as I jump back he struck.

I thank my lucky stars that I didn't have to flag a car down to take me to the hospital(I just sold my truck and was about 1 mile from school).

Anyway, all of you hunters in Texas.......beware this time of year. Those rattlesnakes are out there...

its mating season so theyre especially aggresive.

Yea I lifted up a cow pattie once and there was a coral snake under it!

if it wasnt a king snake (or is it milksnake.. i forgot) pretending to be a coral snake, then yeah that would be sccaarryyy!
