Your top 2 mushrooms are Tubaria, or Alnicola, Simocybe, or Galerina which all can have species nearly identical to yours, many well known for their lethality(DEADLY) and your mushrooms are the perfect example of what a mushroom looks like that you DONT want to ever put in your mouth......and the 2 on the bottom waaaaay tooooo blurrrrrry to know for sure. Just for fun take a spore print (separate the cap from the stem ( of both shrooms) and lay them down flat (gills down) on paper or something, leave it there for a day or so and see what color the fine powder(spores) is that falls on the paper, I mean I could tell you color but that could destroy all the fun?

shroominDole, those are interesting guesses. Not that I think they're wrong - we just don't see many IDs for Tubaria, Alnicola, or Simocybe. And I certainly wouldn't eat either one, either.

For the first ones I would probably start my guesses with Laccaria.

For the other two, Mycena (or one of its satellite genera) look reasonable.

Of course, without spore print colors or habitat descriptions we're just making fairly wild guesses that could be waaaaay off... That doesn't make it any less fun though...

Happy mushrooming!

The top orange ones were all found attached to wood, mostly shaded. The other one was found just under the topsoil in a spot I had found a variety before amongst a small cavern where a tree had fallen. Today was the first sunny day after a couple days of rain.  It has not reached over 60 degreed F in awhile.  Both found in a mountainous area. sorry about the blurriness of the second pic it was very small and I was using a web cam for lack of an expensive digicam . But thanks for the guesses I will try and look all of them up. If it doesn't say near my avatar, I am from very eastern Oregon.

Well it doesn't look like the spore print suggestion is going to materialize....could of very possibly been done in short time.....last we heard you were going to go and study the I.D.s and compare your mushroom.....came back less than 3 mins. later claiming that you agreed with the guess that it was some kind of Laccaria.....(which most literature will tell you is a sought after edible).....then left us with a picture Laccaria laccata as some sort of confirmation.....are you still alive ?.....now remember Toxic did state was just a gueuss.....please tell me you didnt decide to eat anything after 3 mins. research....still waiting for that print.....just wanted to mention that your mushroom is usually probably going to be macroscopically I.D'd to Tubaria furfuracea group which is why listed first......but just wanted to mention the others extremely similar to the Tubaria group as possibilities as you can never know these groups enough for reasons already stated.....

(EDIT: Your Pics)

some examples of what can kill you:

on this one take into account that Laccaria is also hygrophanous....

once again...hygrophanous and sriated margin

I cant even really tell the difference myself ....can you?

shroominDole is in the right direction. When you add the habitat (on wood), Laccaria is eliminated as a genus.

Galerina is a genus that anybody who wants to eat mushrooms (for whatever reason) needs to learn to avoid. Amatoxins cause the vast majority of mushroom fatalities around the world. And it's *not* a good way to die. Liver failure takes awhile to die from (7 - 10 days for most cases) and the symptoms are pretty unpleasant.

Happy mushrooming!

There was never any thought in my mind about eating any of these. I was purely trying to figure out what they were, so in the future if I had happen to be walking along and see one, I could say "Hey that is a (fill in the blank here). As for doing a spore print, they were dry before someone had mentioned it. So I couldn't really do much about that. I fully realize the danger of a poisonous mushroom and I would much rather die in a better way, nor go through such pain.
