Well here are some pictures of my grow. Posting these as proof of how good the information on this site is. If youre a n00b read up on everything. And when fruiting time comes read hyphaes strategy on pining ! it works!  thanks shroomery
these are 8"x4" tins two with 2 cakes and one with 3 cakes
from above.

nice man, i remember before i did my first grow i read up on casing for hours and the results are much better, plus you get respect for not asking mindless questions

casings are so easy i dont think anyone should bother with cakes. Cakes look really cool though.

Here's 5 shrooms for:
1 Being smart and reading, not asking.
2 Posting credits
3 Growing one really nice set of trays and giving us pics
4 Giving me the idea of lining the grow area with a garbage bag. Once it gets infected, see ya lining! Nice call
5 I can't think of a 5th reason, I guess you only get 4 shrooms.
Of course you g3t 5, just kidding

Hey pong, what kind of Jiffy Mix did you use? The one with verm in it or with perlite?

ive got a casing of 50/50 going right now with the jiffy mix with perlite in it. everything is coming along nicely too.

i just picked 2 mushrooms from one of the casings whose veil had broken, i will be eating them on saturday so am keeping the fresh fruit in the fridge untill then. They bruised blue/green.
so far the brazilian has been a great grow but i have nothing to comare it too :P . no incubator was used.
one month and 10 days from innoc to first broken veil.
Thanks for the ratings! And actualy the plasic lining was used because the bins had many holes in them i guess you could call it a laundry basket. Didnt want to buy a bin so i just lined the bin with trashbags threw some perlite in and called it a terraneum. haha
jiffy mix with vermiculite was used. verm absorbs more H2O than perlite, (read that somewhere).
i will be submiting a trip report and will put a link to it in here.

Verm is to provide and retain moisture.
Perlite is used for airiation.

very nice make shift low budget grow for sure dude. GJ i hope that my first grow is as effective and proficiant as yours apears to be. one not in the future you might wana try a more consistant number of cakes to pan probably increase the overall yeild of
