Well it sure looks damn close......I cant really tell but the Mycelium is popping up nicely.......I don't know wait a day or so...

I don't think it would be a problem if you do and if it was a little sooner.....

Heck yea!

What I would do: Sterilize a fork, and gently move casing from where it's not colonized onto the areas it is colonized. Move just enough dirt around to cover up all the white and send it to the FC.

Can I just patch it or is it best to move the existing verm around?

You could just patch... but it's real easy to move the dirt around with a fork, plus you're thinning out the areas that haven't colonized yet, it'll give a great pinset. Either way is fine though.

Well....I am going to take your advice folks. I am going to patch lightly and fruit it now.

That means that a jar of popcorn inoculated a week or more after I started my PF pints will be fruiting it's first flush long before the PF jars are even done. That says a lot about the difference between grains and PF. Unbelievable to say the least.

Keep in mind too..this was a throw away jar of popcorn that took off.  It's cased directly to 100% fine vermiculite.  Many told me I could not do it or that it would suck....well...

Suck this

if that is just verm, then yes, initiate pining now, definitly, if that is verm and coir, you have already waited too long and it will overlay if you dont throw that sucker into the fridge for a good 8 hours or so for a cold shock.

My favorite anno quote,

This is a common mis conseption at the boards, how much should the casing layer be colonized not at all! The mycelium should only begin to permeate the casing layer when they are fruited.
