I am going to make a LC but got a question. I have made LC before but it has been a long time and i forgot. If i remember right i made mine by just boiling potatoes and using that broth for the LC. But now when i look for the recipes it says u have to add other stuff like agar..ect. So my question is can i just use the potato broth to grow the LC or do i have to add the other ingredients.

Potato broth will be milky looking, from starches. you are better of using Karo. Or, light dry malt & dextrose 50/50, in a 3% solution

Karo = liquid light corn sugar. That can be found in about ANY grocery store.

Bullshit. Corn Syrup is found in almost every packaged food. I have some theories as to why(mostly have to do with instant blood sugar spike, therefor a resulting feeling of energy and 'fullness'. Also it's cheap as hell.), but I do not believe corn syrup cannot be found unless you're in a third world country. You can go out into the hills, to the most inbread 1 horse town and find Karo syrup in the AM/PM gas station.
If you live somewhere besides North America, it's possible their is a brand name that isn't Karo. Just ask the store clerk for 'corn syrup'.

It is common in the US, I have not heard of people finding it in the UK or Ireland. Most sugars in europe come from sugar beet or imported sugar cane.
