Light growth on grain

My latest grow is kinda odd, the mycelium doesn't grow very thick. It seems to coat each grain so that it makes the grain look a little lighter almost a dry look and that's about it.

I am using filter patch bags with Brazilians. There are no signs of contamination and the filter patch bags even smell like mushroom mycelium when disturbed which has me in a state of confusion.

I wonder if I Should bother spawning them to HPoo or give it up and try again. Has anyone else had this problem or offer any advise?

I had very similar problems that you had, jars looked dry, but when i took them out the grains were still moist. I still spawned to Hpoo/straw compost and got results, it just took a little longer to colonize.

Water content isn't right, i had the same problems mycelium isnt growing strong and thick. I've spawned it to hpoo and booooooooooooooooom its working  well. :crazy2:

On my next grow i must soak the grain a little more  :thumbup:

you dont want to leave any really uncolonized grain on top, because youll be exposing it to mold which can grow on the grains easily, just make sure anything on top is colonzed.

Strange you say that, the top of the grain get really moist from the condensation running off the sides of the bag and it doesn't colonize. I will remove this best that i can, thanks for your advise cokaznrebel and strengthener. I hope that it works out ok.
