Bonne Maman jam jars from Tesco

I've never tried to grow mushrooms before.

I read about using Bonne Maman jam jars from Tesco, but the only ones I found were 370 grams, which seems a bit too large for the purposes described in the PF-Tek For Simple Minds, which specified 250 ml containers. Are these 370 gram jars the correct ones? Would it matter if the jars were not entirely full?

I wasn't able to find anything more suitable, and was intending to use a pressure cooker as described in the PF-Tek, so plastic is out of the question.

just fill them to within about 1.25 cm of the top
with the pf brf mixture
then top off with dry vermiculite.
use a little extra inoculant so
some reaches to the jar's bottom.
