Casing Tek Problems! Can You Help?

I have a couple of containers (4), And I am using the casing tek! They colonized just like they should have, they did not colonize to fast nor to slow. I keep them at about 72 Deg., humidity 95%, and just a little bit of light(20 minutes in indirect), fan 3 times daily, I live in the desert in Arizona. Now here is my problem. everything is going just as it should according to directions, I am doing everything word for word, But it has been a month of giving it fresh air and light, humidity, and yet I still dont even have any pins yet. And it is not because of overlay. And there is no contamination. I have had success with the cake tek but this is my first time doing a case tek. The casing is made of verm. and dirt, and the problem is not over watering. And I did do a cold shock. Does anyone have any ideas what could be going on? Infantry_Biker

More fresh air. When you're trying to pin you want as much fresh air as possible without lowering the humidity for too long. If you RH is back up with in 10 minutes I would fan every hour.

Yes, I agree. Way more fresh air. Also, your humidity is too high for casings. 95% RH is good for cakes, but casings prefer mid 80s.
Have you read Hyphae's pinning strategy? If not, you should. http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Cat/0/Number/3290155/an/0/page/0

A month is way too long. Something is wrong there... maybe the casing is too dry. Some pics would help.

Fungi are very independent and stubborn. You can do everything right and it will just sit. Check the moisture level, temperature, and your light source. If you have it next to a window then move it. After checking everything out and it still doesn't do anything, then wait. You can try to lower the temperature 10 degrees at night by moving it. Sometimes that helps. But as long as it looks healthy, all you can do is wait for it to decide to continue on.

Hiow did you sterilise your casing layer? How deep is it compared with how deep your substrate is? What sort of 'dirt' are you talking about? Too many variables man - more info please.....

keen eyed, i dunno man i hate to sound paranoid but....
Posting about your cultivation project while at work is definitely a recipe for disaster. It might be a pain in the ass but use a library computer or something. However i really dont know your work situation, but, just in case i thought i should point this out

Read my pinning strategy and trust it. Believe it or not there are parameters that need to be followed if you want consistant results. GL
-------------------- Getting the most out of your casings!, A pinning strategy. Oyster Shell "Flour" $2 for 1lb. a hell of a deal Not what is overlay but rather what overlay is Gas Exchange vs. FAE "We all have priorities. I used a closet once setup a nice little lab trouble was all the shit that was in there ended up in the bedroom that pissed off the GF then I ended up dumping her as she was getting in the way of my sterile culture technique! Ya I got priorities too!!!"
