Nitrate Chalk?

I searched for this but found no answers. Upon searching in the garden centre for calcium carbonate I came across nitratre chalk, since they didn't have the carbonate I thought I'd pick some up just incase.

Right, it says it contains nitrogen for green growth yadda yadda when used to condition soil but also lime to correct acid soils. The actual stuff is called Calcium ammonium nitrate and comes in small pebbles. Its nutritional values are;

Nitrogen (N) total 27%
Ammoniacal Nitrogen (N) 13.5%
Nitric Nitrogen (N) 13.5%

Does this product have no value in the world of mycology or is it looking somewhat promising for a bit of experimentation?

Edit: Actually I've just realised ammonium is toxic to mushrooms.. So I'm guessing it isn't suitable, I'm taking it this is still true even if used in a really low quantity?
