I remember back in the day my folks used to by that hybrid turkeyham lunchmeat. I loved it with a little Hellman's and a kraft single.
Now that I think about it it was just pig and turkey parts mashed together and sliced miraculously thin.
Good shit I tell you what

roast beast. or corned beef. the best corned beef in the world is made here in Milwaukee, at this old german butcher.
i could live on that, and nothing else, forever.

I used to work at a sandwhich place and we would cook Eye Round Roasts on the BBQ for out roast beef. First It got injected with garlic juice and then wraped in foil. Turkey rool which is bnls turkey breast roast would get injected with smoke juice and wraped in foil. Put both of them on the BBQ for an hour, unwrap and throw on the marinated pork loins and on the top rack put the 20 half chickens. Throw on the wood chips and cook everything slow for another two hours.
Did this every day, the chicken juices would drip all over the pork turkey and beef while the smoke seasoned all the meats...
This was the early morning routine every day and people would line up for these sandwhiches all day. I think that the roast beef was the best.
I want to open a place like this some day. Such a little gold mine. We had 10 bread choices, about 20 salads 15 cheeses and all sorts of good deli choices, even a nice selection of great beers.
Place brought in about 20K a week and here I am working for the man.

OOooh my.. I forgot about pastrami.... Steamed pastrami on a roll with mustard and pickles.. MMMmmmm. At the Deli we had a nice pastrami but we macrowaved it to get it hot.. Yah I said "Macrowaved".
Ill stick with Roast Beef as my favorite but ONLY good roast beef and only about 5% of places sell real and good roast beef.
Pastrami comes in second but her lies the dilema.. About 80% of pastrami thats sold is real good..

Jah mon -- I keep gettin' enticed into pickin' up some roast beef from time to time, only to be let down when it's just not that great. 1 in 20... now them's not some great odds!
Myself, I find a nearly flawless average in country-style hams and salami

Slow cured pork marbled with fat, italian in origin. Usually it's thinly sliced. You can get it mild or hot.

I like a sandwich that gives you a good boiling stomach in the morning.
It's at that point when you're resting your head against the cold tile on the wall saying to yourself "its just not worth it" that you realized you had a damn good sandwich the day before.

Well then, I'd skip the pepperoncin's and go straigh to the chili's, scotch bonnet, cayenne, or habanero

I remember that sammich! That bottom layer is the way every sandwich should be.
Of course some sandwiches require horseradish depending on whether you have bottom layer surprise fixings in the fridge.

BOAR'S HEAD is the only roast beef I will consume It gets pricey though, but it really is far superior!
I refuse to eat lunch meat with any water added, like that nasty Honeysuckle White turkey. The texture is just...slimey.
The best roast beef sandwich I've had was from Panera, the Asiago Roast Beef. Some good quality meat, smoked cheddar I think, horseradish, green leaf lettuce, compari tomatoes and red onions, delictately layered between two crusty slices of an asiago demi. oooooooh
