Is it possible to make prints from invitro cakes? Or atleast transfer some mycelium?

if there is room above the substrate where the cap can open up then you can get prints off it, ive dont it before.

someone will probably call me out here... but invitro shrooms DON'T HAVE SPORES! as i've been told, invitro shrooms never truly leave the primordial state. the "veil breaks" in the fact that it devlops a ful cap, but it doesn't mature to the point that it drops spores. this is the reason that invitro shrooms are more potent per gram (like pre-decomposing abhorts) they grow and never surpass their peak potency (unless they start to rot).
but, uh... i'm usually wrong.

sounds like youve been told wrong.
when i did mine it wasnt fruited in the jar but i still consider it invirto. every one of the caps that i didnt pick before the viel broke had spores. they were just squished against the side of the container so they didnt open like normal caps.
i may be wrong for considering what i did invitro but what you are saying seems realy wrong. iono, i still consider myself a noob so take what i say how ever you want

invitro is just never taking the cake out of the jar. think pf cakes but only srooms growing out of the top, that is if uve covered up the glass in the bottom and sides to keep them from pinning in the jar. other then that everythign is normal and you make prints normally. cut caps leave on foil/ paper whatever blabla.

if it wasn't fruited in the jar it wasn't "invitro" if the "squished up against the glass" caps had spores, then i stand corrected. i've only grown invitro shrooms on accident due to some early pins and a lil curiosity. but none of those squished caps had spores and they were open.
i dunno. i don't grow invitro...

Wbs spawned to h/poo 3 inches deep in a gallon jar (invitro) will get you fair sized shrooms that drop heavy spore prints, for dung sure.

You can get a sterile jar and dump a few invitro caps into it, shake it so a few are pointing down, some spores will drop out of the deformed caps. Now you can inject water and suck up spores.

Totally wrong. Are you thinking of sclerotia???
Invitro fruiting affects wether the mushrooms will produce spores or not.
