Large scale salvia extraction TEK >>new pics<< JAN19th

I'm extracting a kilo of salvia tonight for a customer.. so i'll be editing this and adding in all the steps to extract Crystaline salvinorin from 1 kilo of salvia.

Needed

1 milk jug (cut off the top)
(or if your worried about melting plastic, then use a watering can of some sort.)
1 gal. of acetone
1 gal. of naptha (lighter fluid, or camp fuel)
1 kilo salvia
1 large pyrex glass bowl
some sort of large cleaning jar... a 1/2 pint ball jar will work.
some coffee filters
a mask for fumes
glass turkey baster... or syphon tube.
time / patience

First take a milk jug and cut the top off it, and cut through the handle to make sort of a spout... this will help illiminate a funnel for now. I'm sure you'll lose a slight amount of product from it sticking to the plastic.... but it's minute..

so your milk jug should look like this

you'll also need a pyrex bowl, coffee filters and rubber bands.

and your kilo of salvia

start by taking a coffee filter and wrap it around your ghetto spout like this

Then pour in enough salvia to cover 1/4 of your jug

The pour in your acetone so it's slightly above your salvia mixture

Stir and shake your goo for about 10 minutes, then strain through your homemade spout... carefull when tipping the jug as salvia likes to flop over and splash into your bowl.

Repete this proccess 3 times to each amount you put in your jug.

then discard the amount in your jug.. it's crap now.

unfortunatly I didn't take pictures of a few steps after this.
let your bowl evap for roughly 30 minutes... then if you look at your bowl you'll notice a lot of settlement sitting on the bottom.

Clean out your jug as clean as you can get it, and dry it out...
carefully pour your liquid salvia/acetone back into the jug SLOWLY... leaving just the settlement behind in the dish.

Clean out your dish, wipe dry.

Place a new filter on your spout and pour your acetone/salvia back through into your dish...

and evap all the way.

acetone likes to pull everything over... tons of black wax, tons of gooey shit.

scrape your plack wax out, and place in 1/2 pint jar.

then gently poor in your naptha to the first screw neck mark... you'll notice just by letting it sit there the naptha will start to pull out some of the gunky crap

then with a gentle swirl it will ake on a very darkcolor.. almost black.. give a swirl till all your goo is desolved in the naptha

replace the lid, and wait... you want to wait one hour (MIN!) per cleaning to let all your salvinorin fall to the bottom... as salvinorin is not soluable in naptha.

I am re-doing this extraction for the sake of betetr pictures,
and more step/by/steps

this is the result of the first extraction...
I did not clean it to it's full potential.. but another 2 - 3 washes would have left this almost entirly pure white.

and 2 points if you can name the video card to the right, and car to the left :wink:
