Electrochemical reduction/oxidisation of pseudoephedrine

Is this possible?

I've been unable to find any information about it on the web.

I know this is a double post (originally in ODD) but nobody there had a clue what I'm talking about!

Hmmmm found this:

http://www.minnsafety.com/subpage.html

If this is correct; It would seem ANYBODY can produce methamphetamine methcathinone without any of the hazardous chemicals or hardwork.

I wonder why this is not more widely talked about.

Maybe I should not be talking about this either?

It requires knowledge of electrochemistry for sure, and probably more of an investment (you can't buy palladium at a hardware store) than the average small op meth lab.

And, it requires all the pH altering chems needed for classic (?) meth synths, just not the ammonia and red phos. You will have the same "contamination" issues with HCl, H2SO4 and NaOH.

It does look like a cool project to try- I'm wondering what other products you could create by reducing other common drugs.

We're talking about oxidative reduction.
