Would you give your secrets?

Last summer I made experiences to grow mushrooms in an open field. Crazy you would say, but I had surprising good results look the photos below. It gave me around 1-1.25 pds of Eryngii per 5 pds and 2-2.25 pds of Shiitake per 5.5 pds blocks. The mushs were superb. I sold them to a local farmer market and told them they where growned in a field. 2 weeks after, suprising me, 2 guys from the agriculture union of my country came here to see. They took mesurements ask how much mushrooms it gave me and left. A week after they phone me to tell me I could have free money to develop this method. They told me, with their calculation, it was possible to grow 62 tons of shiitake or 29 tons of Eryngii per hectare without the contour alley, in a cycle. The "hic" is I would have to give them all the details of my methods and experiences.
Woul you do that?

depends how much money they offered.. is it worth the trouble? i doubt that the methods you or anybody else use are quite similar..
but if you really have developed something spectacular then just leave some details a bit obscure.. (like in that morel patent..)

I don't know if I developed something special, I never read somewhere someone has growned mush in an open field. I just tried for fun.

Whenever the Gov. offers you money, take it! Tell them the basics of what you do. They offered you money to research your methods, not garantee results! Might just be a new career for you!
Good luck! Shdwstr

I just phoned them. Here are questions and answers.
Question: How much money I can get? Answer: You could have up to $25,000 if you create at least 2 jobs. The money cannot be spend in a building or in capitalizations.
Question: Why I have to give you detail informations on my methods or works. Answer: This is the policy. All the informations taken will be available for who is interested in this subject.
I was wondering, that way I could create competition "in my back yard"? And all that work available for free.

didn't understand the last two lines, care to re-word? maybe they want to know because alot of mushie cultivation is done in caves and whatnot, but in an open field... well then it could be done on the cheapest property possible (in the right climate) I'd be awefully carefull if i were you. What i suggest is make other people (mush companies and such) aware of what you did, and if they are interested, say that the other guys offered you like 40,000 and see if they are willing to beat that. keep doing that sort of thing with all the companies possible. but really, get a lawyer, as waixengreen said.
what was so different about your methods of growing (besides the open field thing) than other peoples? obviously dont tell us word for word, but atleast some hints

Thanks to you answering. Excuse-me sir if you don't understand some phrases, english is not my language so I make mastakes. I regrett I don't know how to say diffently. Anyway you answered well. >what was so different about your methods of growing (besides the open field thing) than other peoples? Nothing else, but for me only that difference is a lot. The extremely low cost to produce them in quantities. With cold and wide range temp cultures I can get mush from may to mid november.

hey mico !
i would go for the deal as the cash is always a nice thing to have. in additions, it would be of great use as special fruiting environments, if u think third world coutries, could be too expensive when open field work could possibly be an option.
if i were u, i would go for it. btw, it looks like if u got some moist/damp straw as a source of humidity ? peace ohm

the real question is if you had plan on hiring 2 people. if you do, it's good. if not, forget it. they want to help you grow your business, and add jobs to the local economy.
