Went huntin' today...

And found absolutely nothing, wondered around for 5 hours, hopped a few farmer's barbed wire fences, looked in the woods and tall grass fields, under stumps and brush and not a single mushroom seen... But I found an old shovel and managed to explore some residential buildings being constructed... all in all I had plenty of fun today regardless of coming shroomless, time slowed down so much I felt like I was out there for days. It's too bad All week it's going to be cold and sunny, haven't seen a mushroom all winter, hoping they're going start springing up soon... Anybody else having any luck?

North Georgia... I think a good indication of whether or not there will be mushrooms is a mulch pile in front of my house that grows clusters of onion stalked Lepiota on certain days. The magic mulch not only tells when it's time to hunt, but how many mushrooms I might expect to find. It was empty today, serves me right for not listening. :smile:
