Preparing for a trip

Blessings to you all.

It's been about 2 years since my first experience with LSD, and I have not had any since (been in school and have had other things on my mind). I havn't tried mushrooms before. So this will be my second trip which I will be having on New Years Eve; the first was a very positive experience, so I'm wondering if there is anything I should do to prepare for this trip?

Should I be doing anything out of the ordinary to make it as beneficial as possible? It will be on LSD.

I don't have any personal experience with LSD, as I cannot find any around where I live, but with shrooms it is very important to have a good set and setting. Being with a small group of friends (preferably who are also tripping) in a place that you know always works for me.

Trip preparation for me usually includes loading my mind with interesting things I want to experience during the trip. A walk in nature to clear the mind and bring a sense of peace is one of the best ways to prepare in my opinion. Other things I like to do is to listen to music or read something particularly inspirational or interesting. Usually subjects have a way of resurfacing later and giving the trip a "theme." Its all about personal preference. As long as you're in a positive frame of mind and are looking forward to the trip, I don't think you can go wrong.
