no oxygen for primordia... are they aborted?

I had to leave my terrarium for 3 or 4 days without fanning and during this time some primordia formed. I got back today and I am fanning and bringing the humidity back down. These are cased pf cakes. Is it likely that all of the primordia have aborted, or should I expect to see some growth out of these guys within the next few days?

can you tell they are still growing? the caps will turn dark almost black when they have aborted and they will have stopped growth.

Very interesting. Today the primoridia have shown a good amount of growth and the color of the heads has actually lighted up substaintially. Yesterday the heads were nearly black and the pins very small. Seems like everything is going to be okay after all.

Some of the casings I put to pin were little colonized on the casing layer. These have shown no pins since for over a week. Is there anyway I could salvage these casings? Would it work if I put them back to my incubator at this point?

It has been my experience that if pins don't get FAE and start to turn dark, quickly providing FAE can sometimes reverse this process.

They will probably never grow to the size they would have with proper FAE, but at least they'll grow some.
