Doggies!
    #4972747 - 11/23/05 03:01 PM (18 years, 3 months ago)

So i love my dogs... I have a 1.75 year old beagle and a 10 week old basset hound. I call them the twins... their coloration is almost identical, it's weird. In the face, they're are nearly exactly the same. They really could be twins, just one is tall and the other is short... kinda like that Danny DeVito/Arnold S. movie.

Dogs really are mans best friend/fiend.

What kinda doggies do you have tearing up your house?

I want a French Bulldog so freakin bad. And a puggle. I played with a puggle on my walk home last night. It was the softest cutest thing ever.

I like pugs but have never been around a bulldog much before. I need a dog that will go hiking with me and play in the creek!

I'm not talking about a Pug..I'm talking about a Puggle. a fairly new cross-breed. Pug + beagle.

That would be a neat little dog. I like bigger doggies better.

I grew up around poodles and chihuahuas. They made me wary of little dogs. Those little fuckers bite!

I've got a lhasa apso, he is the coolest dog in the world. He snorts like a pig and follows me everywhere. He's my best friend.

My dad has a lhasa apso... that dog might as well be conjoined to him.... it goes everywhere with him and isn't nervous or mean to/around anyone. Nice doggie.

I just really like short hair dogs. less mess to vacuum up. less grooming. My doggies get a bath twice a week anyway (at least) because our backyard is a dirt hole created by my beagles' paws. Plus, I can't have dirty dogs running around in a place where sterility is an issue... but they're not allowed in there anyway.

I have 2 boys and they sure do seem to like wrestling a lot... not that I mind, but I haven't ever seen dogs that "wrestle" without getting into actual fights. These 2 do... it's kinda fun to watch, as long as they don't start a barking war. Both beagles and basset hounds bark and bark and bay and howl and bark and howl and growl and bark some more. Lucky for me I live waaaay out in the country where neighbors aren't a concern. If I was in the city, my dogs would get the cops called on them sometimes... usually they don't bark outside longer than 10 minutes, but they've gone longer than that for sure. Anyone ever used one of those anti-bark collars before? Are they effective? Just wondering in case i have to go back into town (god, i hope not... i like being a country bumpkin)

BTW, I'd post pics but I'm not sure how. What is the size limit? I don't think my digicam goes lower than 680x420 and I'm not sure of the resolution... how would I post doggie pics?

I can't ever let my wife know about Puggles... she likes both pugs and beagles.... I'll have a house full of dogs before I can say no if she knew they existed.

NOBODY TELL HER OR I'LL HAVE TO GIVE YOU A WEDGIE!

I like short haired dogs as well, thats why we give our dog a haircut every 2 months or so. We leave it a little longer for the winter time to keep him warm. He's the best dog i've ever had and he's getting pretty old now. I'm gonna be sad when he's gone.
